Women's Film Challenge

Set in the 1950s in rural Colorado, a young girl June witnesses her father disappear for days without explanation, and the pain that it gives her mother. This film is a call to women to rise up and not stay silent when they experience injustice and unfair treatment in relationships and in their life. The story is intended to help bring light to the unsaid expectations for the roles that women have played historically, and is meant to heal and break the cycle of existing patterns for women today. This story is based on true events. "Pieces" is a selection of scenes from the full length feature film in progress - "I'm Too Small To Bear The Load." Written and Directed by Alana Waksman Featuring Georgia Rose Matlack, Olga O'Farrell, Jeff Elam, Adam Quirch, and Johnny Bouchard
